BOI approves garments exporter

MANILA, July 30 (PNA) -- The Board of Investments (BOI) recently approved the application of TTC Garments, Inc. as an expanding garments manufacturer that will export 70 percent of its production.

The factory is located in a 1,000-square-meter factory building at St. Michael Subdivision, Talaba, Bacoor, Cavite.

The plant has a capacity of over 35,000 dozens annually and an export commitment of 70 percent of its production.

The company has been in operations since 1993 and produces knitted jog sets, jackets and infant/toddler pants set, among others.

The garments produced are for all ages and are exported primarily to Germany and the United States.

“A garments firm has time and again proven it can survive and even thrive amidst challenges in the global market,” Trade Secretary and BOI Chair Gregory L. Domingo said.

“This bodes well for the garments sector to recover sooner than expected,” Domingo said.

TCC Garments employs 71 employees. The company’s major stockholders are Du Jin Chun (44 percent), Edgar Lim (43 percent), Eric Lim (3 percent), Wai Ping Lim Yu (5 percent) and Lynn N. Lim (5 percent).

It is 56 percent Filipino-owned while the rest of the stockholders are Chinese.(PNA)
