BOI approves garments exporter
MANILA,
July 30 (PNA) -- The Board of Investments (BOI) recently approved the
application of TTC Garments, Inc. as an expanding garments manufacturer
that will export 70 percent of its production.
The factory is located in a 1,000-square-meter factory
building at St. Michael Subdivision, Talaba, Bacoor, Cavite.
The plant has a capacity of over 35,000 dozens annually and
an export commitment of 70 percent of its production.
The company has
been in operations since 1993 and produces knitted jog sets, jackets and
infant/toddler pants set, among others.
The garments produced are for all ages and are exported
primarily to Germany and the United States.
“A garments firm has time and again proven it can survive
and even thrive amidst challenges in the global market,” Trade Secretary
and BOI Chair Gregory L. Domingo said.
“This bodes well for the garments sector to recover sooner
than expected,” Domingo said.
TCC Garments employs 71 employees. The company’s major
stockholders are Du Jin Chun (44 percent), Edgar Lim (43 percent), Eric
Lim (3 percent), Wai Ping Lim Yu (5 percent) and Lynn N. Lim (5
percent).
It is 56 percent Filipino-owned while the rest of the
stockholders are Chinese.(PNA)
