Indon resto to be put up in Davao City
DAVAO CITY, Aug. 22 (PNA) -- The Indonesian Consulate will put up an Indonesian restaurant here by the end of 2008.
Indonesian Consul General to Davao City, Lalu Malik Partawana said the restaurant will offer various delicacies his country.
"There are various restaurants here, Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai and even Vietnamese, but no Indonesian," Partawana said.
The
Indonesian Consulate took part as a side exhibitor during the Mindanao
Culinary Festival 2008 Summit preliminaries which was conducted
recently at the House of Indonesia.
"We are supporting the Mindanao Culinary Festival 2008 and will work to ensure its success," Partawana said.
Conducted
during the festival were the preliminaries for the table setting for
the student and professional divisions where 22 schools and 11
establishments participated for the event. The
competition was judged by former beauty queen Margie Moran-Floirendo,
Davao City's premier florist Charito Puentespina, and Itje Erwin of the
Indonesian Consulate. (PNA)
