DOLE-Region 3 inaugurates new field office in Bulacan
MALOLOS
CITY, Bulacan, July 31 (PNA) -— The Department of Labor and Employment
(DOLE) Region 3 has recently inaugurated its new provincial field office
here in an effort to effectively provide services to the people.

Regional Director Ernesto C. Bihis, together with Assistant Regional
Director Leopoldo B. De Jesus, took lead in the blessing and
inauguration of the new office located at the 2nd Floor of the Mark III
Bldg., Mabini St., Mojon, Malolos City to formally open its doors to the
public, partner agencies and other stakeholders.
During
the occasion, the DOLE has released livelihood assistance amounting to
P428,288 to 140 farmer beneficiaries from the Kapatirang Magsasaka ng
Palapat MPC (KMPMPC) for the establishment of a cooperative store on
agricultural inputs and daily basic necessities.
A
memorandum of agreement (MOA) was also signed by DOLE and the municipal
government of Marilao in line with the livelihood assistance of some
P350,000 to 70 selected workers from the informal sector as well as
overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from the said municipality.
The
livelihood assistance is under the DOLE Kabuhayan Starter KITS, which
is the department’s flagship program on micro-business entrepreneurship.
