Pres. Arroyo, VP Noli invited in ARENA national convention in Davao

DAVAO CITY, Oct. 8 (PNA) – President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Vice President Noli de Castro were invited to speak in the 7th national Conference for Career Executive Service Officers (CESO) to be conducted on Oct. 15-17 at the Apo View Hotel.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional director and Association of Regional Executives of National Government Agencies (ARENA) Davao president Rodolfo Z. Razul, said some 600 national government executives from all over the country are expected to attend the conference.

He said ARENA Davao is hosting this year’s conference with theme “CES Leadership and Good Governance in the 21st Century.

“This conference intends to strengthen the ranks of career executives nationwide in the public service by providing a venue for the sharing of ideas and information on substantive issues geared towards improved governance,” he said.

He said the conference will tackle the following issues:

-- recognize good governance initiatives nationwide;

-- government executives will renew their commitment towards public service excellence;

-- establish an agenda for a more transparent and accountable bureaucracy.
