BACOLOD
CITY, March 7 (PNA) – The construction of the two-storey Bacolod Eye
Center here, which is being undertaken by the City Engineer’s Office
(CE), has kicked off.
The new project is situated right at the Corazon Locsin
Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).
Mayor Evelio Leonardia said that he expects the project to
be finished by May and that the facility will soon be able to help
Bacoleños with eye problems.
The mayor said that a lot of people will be able to benefit
from this facility so he is confident that the project will be
sustainable, realistic and functional.
Leonardia stressed that the building will be turned over to
CLMMRH for supervision after its completion.
The city government has allotted P3.2 million for the
completion of the facility that will render free services such as
consultation, surgery and supply of medicines to all patients identified
by the Department of Social Services and Development.
The ground floor will house two examination rooms,
fluorescent and laser rooms, and a conference room, while the second
floor will have three operating rooms, a scrubbing area, a waiting area,
